If you do not see your location on our list, please contact our office at 813-459-8036 or send an email to [email protected].
Do you buy items outright?
In order to avoid any conflict of interest and to work in the best interest of our clients, we would rather sell your items on your behalf. Selling for you on a commission basis means that our interests are aligned. It is our goal to work with you to get you a competitive return for your valuable property.
What kind of items do you sell?
Since our goal is to assist you in liquidating the complete contents of your home, we sell a variety of items. We list all items in your home from your fine jewelry to your cleaning products. Some items do better than others. We love selling mid-century modern furniture and decor, original artwork, sports memorabilia, fine crystal, rugs, clocks, tapestries, militaria, coin collections, fine jewelry, costume jewelry, sterling silver, gold, Chinese art and furniture, handmade quilts, vintage electronics, vintage toys, musical instruments, cars, boats, golf carts, motorcycles, and more!
Should I throw away, give away, or donate items before my auction?
When confronted with the need or desire to liquidate items, many individuals believe the first step is to donate, give away, and/or throw away the items that don’t have value. Please DON’T! We strongly urge you to please not dispose of anything until you consult with us about the items you’re considering clearing. Don’t throw those dollars away. You’d be surprised at what sells!
Can you sell my valuable items too?
Yes! Heirlooms and sentimental items should remain with the family and close personal friends. However, in order to ensure a successful auction, we recommend you do not remove valuable items such as tools, jewelry, antiques, collectibles, designer purses, etc. Savvy estate sale shoppers look at photos and descriptions of items being offered and decide to shop those sales based on the quality of items available. Most estate sale companies charge a percentage of the sale proceeds or a minimum (typically from $3000.00 to $5000.00), whichever is greater. Without having quality items to draw buyers, regardless of the volume of lower dollar items, the potential for a successful sale is limited. Including items of value in your estate sales ensures a successful estate auction.
Do you conduct traditional estate sales?
The demand for online estate sale auctions has grown exponentially in recent years as more people look for a comprehensive solution that allows them to completely liquidate all items for sale, leaving the residence almost completely empty! In the online era we live in, there is no need to open the home to hundreds of shoppers. Shoppers from around the world who are interested in purchasing particular items can conveniently search online and competitively bid from their phone or computer. At the conclusion of the auction, local winning bidders sign up for a pick-up time and remove the items they’ve won. We also ship smaller items to customers who are not local. We do all the work by taking photos of your items, cataloging them, writing detailed descriptions, uploading the auction to our website, advertising, and providing staff to assist buyers in safely removing the items they’ve won so that you can enjoy a stress-free auction experience. You can read more about the benefits of an online auction here. (https://tampa.ezdownsizing.com/services/)
Do you sell Firearms?
Many people inherit firearms and we can help you through the process of selling them in accordance with federal and local laws. We work with local licensed gun shops and arms dealers (FFL) to sell all applicable items in accordance. This process includes background check paperwork to transfer items to winning bidders. We also sell items such as scopes, ammunition, slings, holsters, and cases.
Can I view your previous auctions?
Yes! Please view our closed online auctions here.
How long do auctions run?
Online Auctions run for a period of 7 days. During this time, your auction is advertised to our buyers as well as listed across multiple online platforms.
Do I receive an itemized list of what sold and how much?
Transparency is a huge benefit of online auction estate sales. You can view your auction before, during, and after your auction has closed. You also will receive an itemized settlement statement which lists your items along with their realized prices.
I don’t have a full estate to sell, do you take consignment?
We offer consignment services at our Warehouse located in Tampa. We accept small items of value to be included in our monthly Warehouse Online Auctions. Please contact us for more information about the items we are currently accepting and to schedule a time to drop off your times. Our Warehouse hours are by appointment only so please contact our office at 813-459-8036.
What happens to the items that do not sell?
We consistently sell 97% if not more of the items that are listed in our online auctions, leaving the estate almost completely empty! If there are items that are unsold, the items remain your property. We can help connect you with trusted local charities, donation centers, and junk removal companies to assist in the removal of any remaining items.
I lived in a gated community – can you help?
Online Auctions are beneficial as they preserve the property and the neighborhood by restricting access to only individuals who have purchased items. Since there will be limited traffic in the neighborhood for only one day (on Pick Up Day), we are often able to work with your HOA.
How do you find buyers for my items?
How do you advertise my auction? In addition to our large following of buyers on our site, we advertise your auction across multiple online platforms including estatesales.org, estatesales.net, Craigslist, Nextdoor, Pinterest, Facebook, and Instagram.
After my items have sold at auction, how is my payment handled?
You will receive a settlement statement listing all items that were sold on your behalf within 10 days after the end of the auction. You will receive a check in the mail within 30 business days after the completion of the auction.
